They were willing to learn, have extra training to extra support so that they could return home to where they are valued, and loved by those around them."

People were fully engaged in planning their care and support and had full choice and control over their own lives. One person said, "I meet my social worker, I make decisions, we chat and talk about what I like and don't like, what works for me and what I want. The staff talk about what I want and work as a team with the social worker. I put my views across and get advice when I need it. I'm in charge of it obviously that's what it's about making my own decisions and I am happy - it's what I want."

Peoples' well-being had improved drastically as a result of engaging in more activities and had better quality of life.
