Brook Lane Rest Home gets awarded outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Outstanding ratings were given in the caring and well-led aspects of the report and the safe, effective and responsive aspects were rated good.
The inspection took place on 1 – 3 October 2018, at the home in Southampton, Hampshire.
Brooklands Nursing and Care specialises in care for older people who may be living with dementia.
People lived in a service whereby the provider's caring values were embedded into the leadership, culture and staff practice. One of the Brook Lane’s values included choice and residents were given choice in nearly every aspect of the service. This included choice over menus, meals, and activities.
The service was extremely well led. People lived in a service where the provider's values and vision were embedded into the service, staff and culture. People, relatives and staff said the providers were approachable.
