Church View, Leicester

Church View in Leicester was rated outstanding for being safe, caring and well-led following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), 27, 28, 30 January & 3 February 2020.


It achieved the score of Good for the effective and responsive categories.


The CQC report highlighted that people continued to be involved in the robust recruitment practices for prospective staff, consistent with the provider's policy and procedure. Residents were supported to ask questions of candidates during the interview and feedback their opinions to staff.


Staff spoke positively about their employment and ongoing support through induction, supervision and appraisal. This underpinned and supported the cohesive teamwork approach that provided a safe and positive place for residents to flourish.


People were very keen to share their positive views about the staff, and reflected upon the positive and supportive relationships, and the positive impact this had had on them.

One person said, "The staff help me so much, they're my friends and look out for me. They're always there if I need them."


Residents were also involved in meetings with commissioners, supported by staff and in some instance’s family members, to review their overall care needs to ensure the support being provided by staff at Church View continued to meet their needs.
