Gracewell of Horley Park in Horley has been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
The Gracewellhome is the third Gracewell home to achieve this excellent rating.
The rating was awarded following an inspection, 7 May 2019.
In the report, CQC inspectors ratedGracewelloutstanding for being effectiveand responsive and good for being safe, caring and well-led.
The effectiveness of care included exceptional food served alongside innovative and skillful techniques thatmaximised the appetite and successfully encouraged residents to eat.
The CQC inspectors highlighted that the provider was responsive by meeting the needs of individuals.
A resident living with dementia wished to keep busy within the home. The registered manager arranged a desk with stationery available for them in the reception area. This person had been issued with an ID badge. They had responsibility for greeting visitors and carried out some administrative tasks. It was clear that the resident took a great deal of pride with being involved in the day to day running of the service.
